The Walk to Emmaus - Scripture Sunday

30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
Luke 24: 30-32

I just got back from a wonderful evening celebrating the completion of yet another Walk to Emmaus. If you've never had the fantastic opportunity of experiencing one of those walks, then you really do need to look into it. If you don't know what the Walk to Emmaus is, please click here or watch the movie below to find out.

The Walk to Emmaus is a fantastic 72 hour period where you experience God and His love in ways that you never felt possible.

The walk that ended today was a men's walk (men and women attend separately). It was a joy to hear the men's testimonies of what this experience meant to them. I was there for the start of the walk, and the transformation that happened between that time and today was incredible. God really worked. I would highly recommend you looking into attending a Walk to Emmaus.

It's important to get away and experience God every once in a while. Although I heartily support and encourage others to participate in the Walk to Emmaus, that is only one way of getting closer to God. Just simply having a regular devotion and prayer time is a way to start. If you want to go further, then join a Bible study group or experience a Christian retreat. If you don't know where to begin, talk with your pastor. He will help. If you don't go to church or perhaps don't even have a relationship with God but desire to know more, email me at tink38570@yahoo.com or leave a comment below and I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.

Do something today to start your journey, or to push you further along. You will never be disappointed when you walk with God.
